Actress Zoe Saldana has branded the boycott of Dolce and Gabbana ''stupid'' insisting she won't be following in the footsteps of stars including Sir Elton John, Ricky Martin and Courtney Love in refusing to wear clothing by the designers in protest at their recent remarks opposing gay adoption and branding children conceived via fertility treatment ''synthetic''.

''That would be the stupidest thing if it affected my fashion choice.

''People are allowed to have their own opinion; however, I wouldn't have chosen to be so public about something that's such a personal thing.''

The son of Senegal's powerful former president has been convicted on corruption charges and sentenced to six years in prison and fined nearly $230 million.

Karim Wade, who served in the government of his father Abdoulaye Wade, was charged with illegally accumulating a fortune of at least $200 million.

Karim's supporters say the trial is part of a political vendetta being waged by President Macky Sall against his old rival.

On Saturday, Wade's Senegalese Democratic Party chose Karim Wade as their candidate for the next presidential elections. Karim Wade was soundly beaten when he ran in municipal elections in 2009.

The next election is expected in 2017, pending a referendum to reduce the presidential term from seven to five years.

ISIS Claims Responsibility for Killing 137 in Yemeni Suicide Bombings

Earlier today suicide bombers attack a mosque at Yemen and now Associated Press reports that the Yemeni branch of ISIS has claimed responsibility for a series of suicide bombings at two mosques in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, that killed at least 137 people and injured more than 300.

The al-Hashoosh and Badr mosques were attacked Friday during midday prayers. According to the BBC, at least two suicide bombers attacked at Badr; one detonated himself inside the mosque while the other waited outside the building's main gates to kill fleeing worshippers.

UNICEF says 70 million Nigerians do not have access to safe water

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has said about 70 million people do not have access to safe water in Nigeria and 110 million lack access to improved sanitation.

The agency said in a statement in Abuja on Friday, March 20, to commemorate this year’s World Water Day, with theme, ‘Water and Sustainable Development.’

According to the agency’s Communications Specialist, Media and External Relations, Geoffrey Njoku, Nigeria is currently not on the path to attaining water and sanitation targets of the Millennium Development Goals.

Actor Bruce Willis has sold his three-bedroom apartment in New York City for close to $13 million. The 60-year-old actor has completed with a buyer for the twin-towered building at 300 Central Park West and closed on the deal on a sum very near the listing price.
