Court Deny Suge Knight Bail, Charge with Murder Continues

Last week we brought you report that Rapper Suge Knight was been charge for murder (READ HERE). The Death Row co-founder, Suge Knight has been charged with premeditated murder in the death of his friend. Knight, 49, is accused of using his pickup truck to intentionally run over two men at a burger stand in Compton Thursday afternoon. One of the men was killed.Knight allegedly had an argument with men. But he claims through his attorney that he struck the two men accidentally as he tried top get away from two other men who were threatening him.

Cahill joins Shanghai Shenhua amidst Real Sociedad Report

With the deadline day transfer over Tim Cahill made a last dish transfer to Shanghai Shenhua with report suggesting that he was to Join former Manchester United Coach David Moyes at Real Sociedad. But Australia forward Tim Cahill has announced he will join Shanghai Shenhua after leaving New York Red Bulls on Monday.

Australia's Tim Cahill will continue his career with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua after being linked with clubs in Spain, England, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar during the January transfer window.

Cahill officially left New York Red Bulls on Monday and announced on Tuesday in Sydney that he will move to Shanghai Shenhua.

Anenih Begs Northerners To Vote Massively for President Goodluck Jonathan

Ahead of the presidential election on February 14, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, on Sunday, called on the North and the South-South to strengthen their age-long political alliance by voting massively for President Goodluck Jonathan.

Anenih, in a statement that came less than a week after the one in which he assured Nigerians in the Diaspora that the forthcoming polls would strengthen rather than divide the country, urged the North to consider the decades of cooperation given by the people of the South-South to candidates of northern extraction and reciprocate the gesture with a renewed mandate for Jonathan.

National Youth Council of Nigeria Disown Kwara PDP Governorship Candidate

The National Association of Ekiti-Kwara Students and National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ekiti local government chapter, have disowned the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state. The students group, which made this position known while addressing newsmen on Sunday in Ilorin, said they took the decision to disown the PDP governorship candidate because he has not affected their lives in any way as students or youths.

Giovinco To Join Toronto Six Months Earlier after Juventus agree is Departure

Sebastian Giovinco will join Toronto six months early after being released from his Juventus contract on Monday.

Juventus have confirmed forward Sebastian Giovinco has left the club six months early to join Toronto FC ahead of the MLS season.

The 27-year-old forward agreed the move last month, but was expected to see out the campaign in Turin.

However, the Serie A leaders announced on Monday that Giovinco would not feature again as he prepares for the MLS' opening round in early March.

Asoju Oba of Lagos, Babasuwa of Ijebu-Remo, Odofin of Ife, the current Chancellor of Lagos State University and chairman of CFAO Nigeria Limited, Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas has died. Report says he died today February 2nd. 

 

He was 79. Details as to what caused his death hasn't been made public yet.

Official Twitter Account of Boko Haram Group Suspeneded

The official twitter account of the dreaded sect Boko Haram’s has just been shut down, less than a week after its opening.

The Twitter handle, Alurwa Alwuthqa, was registered last week in a manner similar to the Middle East insurgency group, Islamic State (IS).

One of the sect’s first activities on the account was to announce its capture of Monguno and display pictures of child jihadists.

SHOCKING! Stranger Hangs Himself in Uncompleted Building in Meiran Area

 

 

Shocking story of a man who was found at Ile-Iwe community in the Meiran area of Lagos State. The resident say they were shocked to see the dangling body of a stranger in an uncompleted building in the area.

Some of the residents told Punch Metro that the victim was on Thursday brought down dead from the rope with which he hung himself.

They added that efforts by the people in the community and the police to identify him had proved abortive.Our correspondent gathered that the stranger, who wore a white caftan, took his life between Wednesday night and Thursday morning after sneaking into the building in the night of Wednesday.

Senior Libyan oil official freed after kidnapping

A kidnapped senior Libyan oil official has been released after more than two weeks of captivity, the oil minister in the Tripoli-based government has said.

Mashal Zwai told the Reuters news agency on Sunday that Samir Kamal, head of the planning department at the oil ministry, was free, but did not give more details.

The circumstances of his kidnapping were not immediately clear, but abductions have become frequent in the country.

Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly that the 21-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston was found face down in the bathtub.

With the recent threat going around the media that the dreaded sect Boko Haram has committed in attacking political rallies and voting center, Six people were killed today in Potiskum, Yobe State after a suicide bomber attacked the residence of a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) politician.

The attack occurred on Sunday afternoon. Sabo Garbu, PDP candidate for the Potiskum/Nangere federal constituency in Yobe, was the target, Channels TV reports.
