A bank customer identified as Raymond Agada has been shot dead by armed robbers around the Swali market area, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

It was gathered that the robbers also stole N120,000 from the victim before killing him.

Agada was said to be on his way to deposit the money in an undisclosed commercial bank in Yenagoa when the hoodlums rounded him up and attacked him.

Imo State Government Says “70% Of Igbos Don’t Listen To Radio Or Read Newspapers”

Obinna Nshirim, the Imo state Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Public Utilities, has said ”70 percent of Ndigbo do not listen to news, they do not read the newspaper.”

He stated this while speaking on the state government-owned radio station, Imo Broadcasting Coporation, IBC, Owerri. That he “discovered” this during the yuletide season.

Abuja | S*x Worker Arrested While Trying To Dump Newborn Baby In A Slum

A 20-year-old woman identified only as Theresa has been arrested while trying to throw away her new born baby in Kuchi Dena, a slum in Gwarinpa. It was learnt that the suspect’s neighbours became suspicious about her and raised an alarm when they saw her behaving suspiciously at about 2.00p.m. yesterday. 

Sources said the neighbours who became curious seeing that her pregnancy had almost disappeared, suspected that she might have delivered herself of the baby and killed it. 

A source, which pleaded anonymity, said they were inquisitive and sought to know the content of a bucket she was carrying because the suspect was alleged to be a sex worker. 

Official! Wilfred Ndidi Joins Leicester City For £15m

Leicester City have signed Wilfred Ndidi from Genk for £15m, subject to a work permit. The 20-year-old Nigeria midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions and signed a contract until June 2022.

Ndidi, who will wear the No 25 shirt, moved to Genk from Yemi Idowu's Nathaniel Boys academy of Lagos after impressing during a trial and made his debut in January 2015 as a centre-half. He can also play at right-back and has been capped twice by Nigeria.

Adamawa State | Army repels Boko Haram attack in Madagali Community

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday repelled an early morning attack by fleeing Boko Haram insurgent on Dar village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa.

Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed, said the attack was contained by the prompt response of security operatives in the areas.
