Namadi Sambo: Why I visited Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo

Former Vice President Namadi Sambo on Wednesday paid a visit to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and both held private discussions.

Sambo said the visit was a usual familiarisation.

He added that “I have come to visit Mr. Vice President and the Acting President as a usual familiarisation visit.

Red Cross seeks more blood donors for Boko Haram victims

The Nigeria Red Cross in Yobe has embarked on sensitisation campaign to raise 100 new blood donors as part of a medical recovery programme for post-Boko Haram insurgency, Mr Zabu Buba, said.

Buba, who is Branch Secretary and State Officer of the group in charge of Yobe, disclosed this on Wednesday in Damaturu in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.

The United States on Tuesday said President Muhammadu Buhari’s agenda were in line with its expectations.

The Deputy Director, Office of West African Affairs, Bureau of African Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Mr Nathan Holt, made the remarks on Tuesday from Washington, D.C. via teleconference on: ‘Nigeria, a critical U.S. partner’.
