Prostitute, nurse, 2 others arrested in Katsina for selling 4 months old baby


The Police in Katsina State have arrested four people for allegedly selling a four months old baby at the cost of N200, 000.

The suspects includes a senior nurse with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), the 18-year-old biological mother of the boy and alleged prostitute, Aisha Idris, one Hauwa Ibrahim, 32, of Kofar Kaura and Mrs Grace Ohuhu, of Uba-Kala town, Abia state.

Lagos State Government Seals Church For Contravening Building Law


The Lagos State Government has sealed a popular Lekki based Church, ‘This Present House’, for constructing without title documents and requisite building permit in contravention of the Lagos State Regional and Urban Planning Law 2010.

In a press release issued on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Wasiu Anifowose, the government stated that it would not fold its arms and watch a brazen contravention of the law that could result in endangering the lives and property of Lagos state residents.

Federal Court grants Nnamdi Kanu bail


The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday admitted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to bail on health grounds.

In a brief ruling, Justice Binta Nyako, said that she was convinced that Kanu was ill and needed more medical attention than the Nigerian Prisons was giving him.
