Graphic Photos of PDP Ward Chairman brutally murdered in Delta State


There was pandemonium on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 when the body of Pa Agabi Egagifo was found murdered in Mereje Town, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to reports, Evangelist Egagifo who moved into his new building six months ago, was hacked to death with a cutlass.


Egagifo was until his death the Ward 7 Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Mereje Town.
The PDP party Chairman in Okpe Hon. Chief Efe Uko on Wednesday, led other excos from the LGA and Ward level to pay condolence visit to the family of late Egagifo.


Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Okpe Local Govt Council, Delta State, Hon. Prince Godwin Ejinyere has condemned in strong terms the gruesome murder.
Ejinrin, who stated this on Wednesday, when he visited the Egagifo family compound in Mereje, assured the children and family members that government and security agencies are working round the clock to unmask those behind the killing.

Below is the statement issued by the Egagifo family on the murder of their father:
"The Egagifo family of mereje community received with a rude shock the gruesome murder of Evang. I. E Egagifo in mereje town. This was contained in a speech made by Comr. Obaro Egagifo when he received the chairman Okpe local government council Hon.Gordons and his aids in a condolence visit to the family. The chairman who was present in company of the PDP chairman in the local government expressed his disaffection over the heinous crime and assured the family that the perpetrators of the act will be made to face justice as the principal suspect who admitted carrying out the act has been taken to Asaba the state capital. Others who pay condolence visit to the family are Rt Hon Samson Ukuedejor, speaker of the legislative arm, SUG FUPRE, Comr. Orhotohwo Nelson Emume PRO, NANS/JCC Delta state axis, vice president, SUG COEWA and my humble self at mereje town.
Comr. Obaro Egagifo on behalf of the family in a statement said though the family is still grief but expressed his appreciation to all who came to felicitate with them in their moment of bereave and all those who sent their condolences through the social media and other various platforms especially the vice chancellor of the federal university of petroleum resources Prof. Akii Ibhadodhe and the dean student affairs division Engr. Dr. Godswill Ofualagba who called in the early hours of today to expressed their condolences.
