Nigerian music veteran, Femi Kuti on Sunday, May 7, 2017, set a new world record at the New Afrikan Shrine. Femi Kuti broke the world record for the longest single note on a saxophone note with a stunning 46 minutes and 38 seconds.
The previous record was set at 45 minutes and 37 seconds in 1997 by Kenny G.
The record-breaking performance was witnessed by a large audience that included Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the deputy high commissioners of Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
