Tianjin TEDA captain, John Obi Mikel, has expressed his confidence that the club will find their goal-scoring form soon.
TEDA have failed to score in their opening two fixtures in the Chinese Super League this season.
They were beaten 2-0 by Shandong Luneng in the first game and held to a goalless draw away to Jiangsu Suning on Friday.
Mikel Obi, who joined from Chelsea in January as a free agent, played in both games and insists they are on track.
“It’s clear that it is complicated not to have scored after two games but I think the team is gradually on track,” Mikel told sports.enorth.com.cn.
“I believe we will translate the lessons in training to matchday when we resume which will bring the first goal but the fans must be patient.”
Tianjin TEDA are 11th in the CSL table with just one point.
They face Chongqing Lifan in their next game on April 2.
