Maheeda says she is blessed and cursed at the same time. This, the Instagram celebrity revealed in a new interview with HipTV.
Speaking with the music channel recently, the controversial nudist, talked about her brand, the marketing idea behind stripping, and her loyalty to her husband.
“I feel blessed. I feel cursed at the same time because of my story and my past,” said the former singer who thinks she is a ‘a little bit famous’.
“At the same time, I feel like a lot of people hate me and they [don’t] understand me and I have a lot of insults coming from people. It’s a mixed feeling.”
On why she chooses to strip for the gram, the mum of one daughter referenced stars like Rihanna and Beyonce who have ‘great voices’ but still have no qualms with showing off bodyparts. “It sells,” Maheeda agreed.
“I really believe that Nigerians- even though they try to act like they don’t like sexuality- they do. And that’s why I give them what they want,” she added.
The former singer went on to tell the world how supportive her husband is. However, she says struggles to stay loyal to him. “My husband has helped me a lot. I am trying my best to be loyal. It is not easy in this kind of industry,” Maheeda says, adding, “It’s a choice [and] I choose to be loyal.”
“[My husband] said to me, “whatever you do, I will support you. Just don’t put the ‘main thing’ out there,” she concluded.
