Beyonce won a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary album this early morning. After taking to the stage and proving the beauty of motherhood and pregnancy, she delivered a moving acceptance speech.
Normally, Bey keeps her acceptance speeches rather short thanking her family, husband and daughter Blue. This time, with the current racial climate of the country, Beyonce read from a prepared speech explaining why she decided to create her award winning Lemonade.
With a crowd full of people offering a standing ovation, and cheers from her babygirl Blue, dressed head-to-toe in pink, Beyonce said the purpose of her work is to hopefully inspire everyone–young, old, black and white–they are capable.
