Fortuna Sittard subdued Utrecht II 4-1 to swim out of the relegation places in the Netherlands’ Eerste Divisie on Friday.
Goals from Emrah Bassan, Finne Stokkers, Djibril Dianessy and Nigerian Junior Torunarigha ensured Sunday Oliseh’s side secure his third win against relegation-threatened Robin Pronk’s men.
Bassan opened the scoring in the 12th minute and Stokkers doubled the lead in the 26 minute to the half time break.
However, Barim Loukili pulled one back for Utrecht, but Dianessy extended the hosts lead to 3-1 before Torunarigha completed the riot.
The home win means Oliseh’s men move to 16th in the Jupiler league, 24 points adrift of table toppers VV Venlo after 22 games.
Fortuna will face Emmen in their next game on February 24 at the Fortuna Sittard Stadium.
