According to this report posted on Facebook, Policemen in Azikoro Police Station, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, detained a female meat hawker and forced her to pay N8000 after meat sellers in the area reported her to them.

"Police Corruption : Police officers in Azikoro Police Station in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State detained a female meat hawker and collected Eight thousand Naira illegally from her. According to the lady, Mrs Joy Isaac, that some meat sellers in the area gang up and reported her to Police at the Azikoro Division for an offence yet to be mentioned and at the end they collected the afore said amount and released her. Meanwhile her daily meat sales worth thousands of Naira is being declared unsellable, uneatable, spoiled, and indeed a waste. Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, please take Action now to save the image of the Police. The incident happened today, the 12th of February, 2017."
