Nigerians are suffering under Buhari – FHRACC

A group known as the Foundation for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Crusade, FHRACC, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to wake up and face the reality of governance.

The group noted that the hardship being experienced by Nigerians under the current government led by President Muhammadu Buhari was becoming unbearable.

FHRACC slammed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Lawal Babachir for hailing those who staged pro-government protest on Tuesday.

The group said Lawal’s comment was a clear indication that the federal government was till playing politics with national issues.

FHRACC in a statement by its president, Alaowei Cleric, forwarded to DAILY POST, said, “the response by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal while applauding the pro-government protesters in Abuja shows that the APC Government is still playing opposition politics. For Babachir Lawal who has been indicted of corruption in this Government is making mockery of himself by calling Jonathan regime corrupt shows that the Buhari’s Anti-Corruption crusade is a guile.
“If anybody is to refer Jonathan’s Government as corrupt, it should not be from a man who is having weighty allegation of corrupt practices hanging on his neck.
“At least Jonathan did not protect the ministers accused of corrupt practices in his Government unlike Babachir Lawal’s case who is not only been protected by the government but also provided platforms to further plunder the public resources.
“What baffles us most is when the government desperately hired some jobless miscreants to launder its bartered image, while Babachir Lawal played the ostrich game.
“After spending two years to plunge the country into an unmitigated hardship by this APC Government of excuses, the solution Babachir Lawal can proffer to save Nigeria from the imminent collapse is to keep on blaming Jonathan for their woes?
“The APC should sit up to face the reality of governance. Nigerians are suffering under this Government.”
Just few days ago, FHRACC, called on the National Assembly to declare Yemi Osinbajo as the substantive President ‎in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
