Police in Colombia have caught a drugs cartel hitman said to be behind at least 30 murders aged just 17.
The suspect is known only by his nickname 'Frijolito' or 'Little Bean' and carried out his first contract killing aged 12. An elite squad of cops have been trying to track him for four months in Cali, a city famous for its links to drug-trafficking.
Proudly announcing his capture, a picture of 'Little Bean' was posted on Twitter showing officers beside a scrawny teenager in handcuffs with his head bowed. But a large, white skull emblazoned on his baggy hoodie gave a chilling indication of the suspect's deadly profession.
His nickname 'Little Bean' is believed to have been taken from a novel about Columbian hitmen. According to authorities, he is the leader of a drugs gang called 'Los del Ave'.
His most recent crime is said to be a double murder in a Cali shopping centre last September.
CCTV footage showed a young man in a black hoodie brazenly shooting a man in front of a jewellery counter. The suspect also shot dead a security guard who tried to stop him fleeing.
