Kylie Jenner loses trademark battle to Australian singer, Kylie Minogue

Australian pop star, Kylie Minogue has officially won her legal battle against Kylie Jenner! The reality star attempted to trademark “Kylie” in the U.S. for “advertising services” and “endorsement services,” however, she’s super late to the party. Minogue, who has sold 65 million records throughout her 30-year career, has beat Jenner to the punch!

Minogue has long been known as just “Kylie” which is why, according to Billboard, the singer’s legal team “filed a notice of opposition citing possible confusion and ‘damage’ to her branding.” The Shade is that these same documents list Jenner as a “secondary reality television personality” who appeared as “a supporting character” on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Bloop!

So far, it is known that the Patent Office rejected Kylie Jenner’s application and that her legal team has filed an appeal. Considering that Kylie Minogue’s career alone is older than Miss Jenner, the battle is probably not in the reality star’s favor.
