Yahya Jammeh, the president of The Gambia, has sparked serious controversy in recent times after refusing to step down from power even though he lost his country's elections.
Many attempts have been made to persuade him to willingly step down and hand over to president-elect, Adama Barrow, all to no avail, prompting West African to form an alliance with the intention of forcefully removing him from his seat of power.
Now photos of Jammeh has emerged on the internet showing him when he first seized power years ago.
