We aren’t even two months into the new year yet, but the star-studded award season is already well underway. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been wowed by the seamlessly-stunning dresses and tuxes worn at the Golden Globes and amazed by the effortless style that took over the People’s Choice Awards but now it’s time to get ready for the next big award show. The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on 12th February and we are so excited, especially now that Adele has been added to the list of artists set to perform during the show.
We already have the reminders set on our televisions, our comfiest sweatpants chosen, our popcorn stored, and our fingers ready to live tweet along with you from our couches and it sounds like we are going to be in for an amazing evening as this year’s Grammy Awards look set to be the best yet. Not only has the lovable James Corden been announced as the host at the show, but the list of acts who are set to perform on music’s biggest night keeps growing and it’s only getting more incredible!
The ten-time Grammy Award winner currently has a total of five nominations at the upcoming show and we have everything crossed for her taking home as many of those awards as she can.
The first few performers were previously announced on the 16th January and they include Metallica, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban. The latter two country sensations are expected to be performing a duet during the show which will follow their collaboration on the Australian leg of Urban’s recent Ripcord tour.
Metallica and Carrie Underwood each have one nomination at the upcoming Grammy Awards, while Keith Urban currently has two. If you need a refresher on who is nominated then you can find the full list of this year’s nominees right here.
More legendary acts are expected to be added to the line-up in the coming weeks and you can keep a look out for them on the Recording Academy’s Twitter account here.
