The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says the problem with the All Progressives Congress, APC especially those of them from Rivers State who rushed into the alleged visionless party midway is that they lack the courage to claim ignorance of what they don’t understand and consequently, they suffer the calamity of not knowing anything.
The State chairman of the party, Bro Felix Obuah in a statement signed by his special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam made the assertion in response to the defense of the Transportation Minister, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi by his surrogates over his empty boasting that the Oil wells he claimed were wrongly ceded to the neighbouring States to Rivers would be returned to the State government within six months of Buhari administration.
The chairman said it is not about the legality or illegality of the judgement denying Rivers State ownership of the Oil wells but the alleged unfulfilled promise of ”Rotimi Amaechi who has entered into the Guinness book of records for his many lies and hollow electioneering campaign promises just to hoodwink the people into helping him actualize personal desires.
He said, ”If the APC were wiser, the best thing to do is to keep silent and learn from their miscalculation for a better image than trying to defend an indefensible goof, the State PDP boss declared.
“To us, not addressing the issue of arrant lie and unfulfilled promise upon his defection to the mother of all lies party (APC), by the Amaechi apologists is to beat the air which portends greater danger to democratic ideals and will definitely corrupt the psyche of the innocent citizens of our land that may have joined the APC bandwagon, not knowing that the party is founded on precarious feet of falsehood”, Bro Obuah regretted.
