President Muhammadu Buhari is critically ill. This is no longer news. The president himself admitted that he has some health problems.

Before the president left the country under the guise of vacation, Nigerians thought he was going to rest.

This was not until his rumored demise spread like wildfire across social media.

The fact is that the president suffering from a severe disease condition called Meniere’s disease.

The causes of Meniere’s disease includes Improper fluid drainage, immune disease, Allergies, Viral infection, Genetic predisposition, or Head trauma.

The reason why the president left the country without usual departure pictures of him is probably due to the disease.

People suffering from the disease condition experience the following symptoms:

Recurring episodes of vertigo: Vertigo is when a person feels as if they or the objects around them are moving when they are not.

Often it feels like a spinning or swaying movement. This may be associated with nausea, vomiting, sweating, or difficulties walking.

Falling down: The individual might lose balance and fall on the floor as though he/she has epilepsy.

Hearing loss: Hearing loss in Meniere’s disease may come and go, particularly early on. Eventually, most people have some permanent hearing loss.

It is not an ear infection and they know it. It is something more disastrous.

Ringing in the ear (tinnitus): Tinnitus is the perception of a ringing, buzzing, roaring, whistling or hissing sound in your ear.

Feeling of fullness in the ear: People with Meniere’s disease often feel pressure in the affected ears or on the side of their heads.

The bad news is that Meniere’s disease has no cure. The worse of this is the epileptic-like seizures that accompany the disease.

During an acute attack like this, patients are advised to lie down on a firm surface.

Stay as motionless as possible, with eyes open and fixed on a stationary object.

Patients are also advised not try to drink or sip water immediately, as this might lead to vomiting.

We sincerely pray that the president receives as a miracle as this is the only way out his condition.
