EFCC Rushes Former Adamawa Governor to the Hospital


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has taken the former acting governor of Adamawa state, James Bala Ngilari, to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe for medical treatment. 

The former governor was rushed to the hospital after complaining of ill health. He was taken to the hospital in an on Friday around 6pm after he complained of ill health.

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the ‎Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN has disclosed his recent vision concerning President Muhammadu Buhari’s ailment, stating that several efforts he made to reach people close to Buhari over the vision had remained unsuccessful as they refused picking his calls.

The fiery cleric who spoke on the president's ailment, declared that his chances of recovery may be slim but that with the prayer of the members of the congregation, he would receive healing, adding that there were some people who were not happy that Buhari was alive.

15 Years Later 50 Cent and Dr. Dre Accused and Sued of Stealing ‘P.I.M.P


50 Cent and Dr. Dre are being sued for their 2003 hit “P.I.M.P.” by a man who says they stole the song for him.

Amber Rose reveals she twerks for her 3 years old son frequently


Amber Rose stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday and revealed a tidbit about her twerking family.

She said:
“So my mom actually loves when I twerk,” she told Seth. “So one day my mom’s like, ‘Hey Am, do your little booty-shaking thing,’ like, she doesn’t say twerk. She’s old school. So I did it one day and my son was right there and he fell on the floor, like, cracked up laughing, just crying laughing.”

An American man on trial in Taiwan for marijuana possession decided he’d rather die than go to prison.

According to the Taipei Times, 41-year-old U.S. citizen Tyrel Martin Marhanka took his life inside the courtroom as soon as the judge handed over his four-year sentence. Tyrel had lived in Taiwan for over 15 years where he was married to a Taiwanese woman and had a son in second grade as well as a daughter in kindergarten, said court officials.

US Wall Street Journals shared an article on its website written by Pete Hoekstra titled "Buhari Is Nigeria’s Problem, Not Its Solution". The article accused President Buhari of Inflexibility, lack of vision and reactive approach to issues.

Boko Haram attack in Adamawa leave about 20 persons dead


Suspected Boko Haram fighters killed 20 people who were attending the 40th day prayer for some deceased members of Kuda village in Adamawa state.

Residents of the village said some of them were gathered at their village square to celebrate their deceased kinsmen when the suspected sect members came in from Sambisa forest and opened fire on them. the terrorist destroyed some homes during the attack.

A pastor and an apostle were today, Friday June 17, caught pants down in Ngwo community of Enugu North Local Government of Enugu State. Below is an eyewitness account shared with Newest Rivers:
"Around 1.00am in the morning two men were caught having sexual intercourse. One of them is a pastor and the other is known as an apostle. The so called pastor who was discovered to be the man in the gay relationship had been reported earlier to the vigilante group of Ngwo neighborhood by a boy of twelve who claimed he was raped by the pastor and had Fluid poured into his mouth after the abuse. 

Lagos Police parade Chinese man for attempted assasination of his Nigerian business partner


The Lagos state police command has arrested a Chinese national over an attempt to assassinate his Nigerian business partner in Lagos. The suspect identified as Sunk Kun, who has been residing in Lagos for 5 years, was arrested after one of the assassins who he paid N1.4 million to kill his business partner was arrested. Parading the Chinese man and the Hired assassin before newsmen in Lagos today, the Lagos state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, said majority of the money paid to the hired assassin has been recovered.

Former Minister of State for Defence Sues EFCC N100m Over Invasion, Seizure of Properties


Former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro yesterday slammed an N100 million suit on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the Federal High Court in Lagos over an alleged breached of his fundamental human rights.

The former Minister is demanding the sum as general damages for the alleged unlawful and unconstitutional seizure and detention of several items, properties and personal effects belonging to him and family by the EFCC on June 24, 2016.

Other applicants in the suit are Mrs Fati Obanikoro, Alhaja Moroophat Obanikoro, Gbolahon Obanikoro, Babajide Obanikoro.
