Premier League champions Leicester City and Belgian club Genk have reached an agreement for the transfer of Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
Super Eagles midfielder Ndidi has been heavily linked with Leicester lately but the deal appears to have been sealed.
Kristof Terreur, a reporter with HNL and an England-based authority on news about Belgium players and clubs, reported on Thursday that the Nididi deal was all but done.
“Work permit and details still need to be arranged, but Leicester & Genk have an agreement in principle over £15m signing Wilfred Ndidi,” Terreur tweeted.
Ndidi, 19, has played 29 games for Genk in all competitions this season, scoring three goals, including one in the UEFA Europa League.
He has played for Nigeria U-20s and the senior team.
Ndidi is a defensive midfielder who can get forward and Claudio Ranieri will see him as the ideal replacement for N’Golo Kante.
