The Nigerian Senate on Thursday rejected the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, due to security reasons.
Spokesman of the Senate, Abdullahi Sabi, disclosed this to journalists shortly after the scheduled screening.
Magu who has been the acting Chairman of the commission, had been nominated by President Mohammadu Buhari to be confirmed to act in full capacity as the Chairman of the EFCC.
