A 29-year-old man have been arrested after forcing a 14-year-old inside a play area and had s*xual intercourse with her.
According to the Sun UK reports, the 29-year-old is suspected of r*ping the child at a play area in Brighton and was detained last night in the East Sussex town, UK.
The 14-year-old girl was allegedly involved in a brutal s*x attack at around 9pm on October 16, while she was alone in open play area ‘The Level’ in the city centre.
She was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation before leading her to an adjacent hut where he r*ped her before walking off.
Police have been forced to clarify details after an officer claimed the man who was arrested was contagious with HIV and Hepatitis C.
Earlier this week a Sussex Police officer tweeted links to a press release stating an arrest in relation to an alleged rape of a 14-year-girl, mentioning an HIV-positive man she had arrested.
But panicked police have now claimed that the two incidents were entirely separate – and confirmed the suspect is not HIV and Hepatitis C contagious.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “The offences that the officer was tweeting about were two separate incidences.
“The man arrested may well have HIV and Hepatitis C but the arresting officer PC Stockham tweeted about another unrelated arrest.
“Officers did not use a spithood and seven officers were not needed in the arrest in relation to the alleged rape.”
