The quartet of English Premiership strikers; Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, Kelechi Ihenacho of Manchester City, Odion Ighalo of Watford as well as Ahmed Musa of Leicester City were among the Super Eagles players who arrived early on Monday ahead of the crucial Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Algeria this weekend.
Also in camp before lunch time are Ogenyi Onazi as well as goalkeepers Ikechkwu Ezenwa of FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Daniel Akpeyi of Chippa Utd of South Africa. Meanwhile, the team are expected to commence their training this evening at the main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium.
Media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye revealed yesterday that the team will be training once a day.
He also expressed his optimism that all the invited players where expected to be in camp before the end of yesterday.
“We presently have seven players in camp but I am aware that most of the boys are already in Nigeria and are making their way to the camp.
The players know the importance of this very match and they will approach it with every amount of seriousness” said Ibitoye shortly before press time last night.
