#OndoDecides: NSCDC foils attempt to snatch ballot in Akure

The operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have foiled an attempt to snatch a ballot box in the ongoing gubernatorial elections in Ondo State.

The Nation gathered that there was an attempt to snatch a ballot at Unit 17, Ward 9, Fadeyi Street, Oshinle, Akure.

The hoodlums had carried the box and were already heading out but they were stopped by operatives of the Civil Defence, who promptly called in soldiers.

No arrest was made, as the hoodlums dumped the ballot box and took to their heels.

The vote was eventually counted and PDP won with 75 votes, followed by the APC which got 66 votes. AD got 23 votes.

In Akure generally, so far, it looks like a straight fight between the PDP and the APC.
