A driver in Quanzhou, southeast China’s Fujian Province on Wednesday was lucky enough to survive a catastrophic car accident, in which his car was nearly smashed into pieces by a trailer loaded with stones.
While the driver, named Song, was pulling over to the side of the road, a trailer suddenly overturned after applying its emergency brake to avoid a collision with another car on the street.
The impact of the crash saw Song's car smashed 40 meters away, yet the trailer only crushed the passenger's side, with Song in the driver’s seat barely affected.
“I am so lucky to be alive!” said Song, whose nerves have not yet recovered, even hours after the accident.
