No fewer than nine persons including two females were feared dead in an auto crash which occurred along the busy Enugu/Nsukka Expressway by 9th mile corner, Enugu.
The vehicle, Nissan bus with registration number NUJ 3 conveying passengers and driven by one Adams Awudu, was said to have had break failure while descending a hill close to 9th mile corner Ngwo.
The vehicle was said to be on its way from Benue state and as a result.
A police bulletin by the spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu said the driver lost control when the break failed him and in that process hit a stationary vehicle in nearby bush.
Casualties were rushed to BENEM HOSPITAL and OUR REFUGE hospital both at 9th mile corner Ngwo where the injured were receiving and responding to treatment.
Sources revealed that the driver had earlier on complained about the faulty break system before they left Benue state but was asked to manage it before the unfortunate incident.
