The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be wearing a new Nike kit for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria. The Super Eagles of will on Saturday, November 12 play Algeria in the matchday two of the qualifiers. Nike have announced that the all green strip will be available for fans to purchase for the sum of N29, 000.
The all-green jersey has a white collar with the Nike logo on the right chest area with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) badge on the left. The new kit is part of Nike’s responsibilities in accordance with a deal they signed with the NFF in April 2015.
The deal will see Nike kit Nigeria football national teams till 2018 or beyond.
According to reports, the NFF will earn N743m ($3.75m according to the exchange rate of that time) during the three-and-half-year partnership with Nike and an N99m ($500,000) bonus if the Super Eagles qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia among other added incentives.
The NFF will receive 148m ($750, 000) in the first year which will rise to N198m ($1m) (198m Naira) each year in the three-year-contract.
