New York police arrested a woman after she allegedly shoved another woman into an oncoming train, killing her in the heart of Times Square.
The 30-year-old reportedly attacked a 49-year-old Queens woman around 1.20 pm, pushing her into a Number 1 train.
Witnesses told cops that seconds earlier the victim and another woman had been arguing on the platform before the shove took place, the New York Daily News reported .
Police sources said it does not appear that the two women knew each other. They said the suspect has a documented mental health history.
Police are trying to determine if the suspect had anything to do with an Oct. 19 subway track death at the Union Square station that had been ruled a suicide.
