Ghana | President Mahama’s guards beat up 52-year-old man for signaling a change of government

A man identified as Nana Dwamena has accused the president of Ghana, President Mahama’s guards of assaulting him simply because he made a gesture demanding a quick change in the country’s administration. Nana claims he was pounced on by the angry guards after his gesture, and it didn't stop there as they also threatened to kill him.

The incident allegedly took place last saturday when the President and his campaign convoy made its way through Apagya in the Adansi South District to begin a 4-day political tour.

Speaking with Joyonline after the said incident, the 52 year old said
‘I received several uncountable slaps from these bodyguards who were also bragging at the same time that they could kill me and nothing will happen to them.’
