Contrary to reports carried by The Sun that former Miss Anambra, Chidimma Okeke, has gone missing following her sex tape scandal, her father, Jerry Okeke, has said his daughter is fine and that the report is far from the truth.
A video that appeared to show the beauty queen and a female partner in a sexual act that involved the use of a cucumber went viral on social media. While many condemned Chidimma others raised fear for her safety, saying some overzealous people may attack her.
“My daughter is not missing and at no time did I declare her missing,” Mr Okeke told Premium Times.
The Sun had quoted Mr Okeke as saying “I am confused about the whole thing as of now. It is only when I set my eyes on my daughter that I will know about all these. As it stands now, I don’t know where my daughter is.”
The newspaper’s editor, Bruce Malogo, said it interpreted the quote to mean that the former beauty queen was missing.
But Mr.Okeke said the report was false and he was giving the newspaper seven days to withdraw the report.
“I have been trying to make contact with one of The Sun newspapers that published the story because they want to sell (market) and I will give them a seven-day notice to correct it,” Mr. Okeke said.
“I did not tell press man that called me from The Sun that my daughter is missing or that I couldn’t find her,” he added.
Mr. Okeke suggested that his daughter had been drugged by people who wanted to take advantage of her and said he hoped that the police will find those involved.
“I will allow them (police) to do that (their job), but I know my daughter was drugged by some people who took advantage of her as a young woman.”
