Ex-deputy Governor says he remain committed to Edo Project

Former Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, has urged the people of the State to give maximum support to the new government in the State to enable it deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Odubu who disclosed this at a grand reception in his honour by the people of Urhomehe in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the State, where he hailed from, said he remain committed to the development of the State, even when he is out of office.

He added that he will continue to work with the leadership of the new administration to engender progressive development in the state.

He said: “I want to assure you that I remain committed to the Edo project. We are in politics for good and we will continue to contribute our quota.”

The former number two man in the State noted that his eight years in office under former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, was like a school where he learned from him how to be resilience and hold unto what you believe in.

He advised all Edo people to queue behind the newly inaugurated Governor of the State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, to enable him deliver on his promises for the common good of all.
“Like I said, I urge everyone to support the present government, my brother, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, and also my son and brother, Hon. Phillip Shuaibu. They can perform beyond what we did. It is the dream of every responsible parent, to have their children succeed them,” he said.
