Donald Trump wants anyone who burns the US flag to be jailed or lose citizenship

Donald Trump has suggested Americans who burn the flag should face “consequences” such as a year in prison or having their citizenship revoked.

On Tuesday, he turned his attention to reports of protesters burning the American flag, writing on Twitter: “Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!”
