Pastor Femi Paul of the Living Faith Church in Lafia has urged Nigerians to continue to praise and worship God in spite of any hardship they may be experiencing.
The cleric made the appeal on Sunday in Lafia in a sermon titled “Engaging the power of praise.” According to him, apart from prayers, praises is another effective way of communicating with God and getting His attention to rescue Nigerians from whatever situation they found themselves.
The cleric, who drew inspiration from the book of Acts, Chapter 16 verse 25-26 where Paul and Silas praised God in prison and were freed miraculously, explained that praising God was like raising the ego of God, Who in turn reward believers who shower him such praises. “When you praise God in a dance, you are adding colour to God and God adds colour to your life.
So raise the ego of God with your praises to enjoy the good things of life,” He said. Paul urged Nigerians not to be deterred by the current economic recession bein experienced in the country but commit total reliance on the faithfulness of God through fervent praises and prayers. “If you know and trust the faithfulness of God, then you will enjoy rest from every battle of life. You must understand the faithfulness of God,” He said.
He, however, revealed that only those who praise the maker shamelessly end up experiencing dramatic positive changes in their lives hence the need for Nigerians to passionately exhibit their affection for God through praise and worship wherever and whenever they felt like. “Praise must be done without shame. Until you are crazy for God, you cannot be crowned by God. When you play the fool in the presence of the lord, you will be full of the blessings of God,” He added. According to him, every time God is moved by praises and obedience, He showers his blessings upon the people.
