The photo is 5-year-old Zarah Mohammed, who is excited about starting school for the first time. She and her family are originally from Marte in Borno State, northeast Nigeria, but they fled their village when it came under attack. Zarah is now enrolled in a UNICEF-supported school at the Muna Garage Camp for the displaced in the Borno state capital Maiduguri.
She's one of 1.1 million children to be enrolled during a campaign organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, the Borno State Government and UNICEF.
