Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has played down reports of a possible move away from the club. 31-year-old Wayne Rooney has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, losing his first team place to summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Despite this, Rooney has said he would love to stay and break Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record at the club. The record is still within sights, even for a striker who has lost most of his goalscoring ability over the years.
He will just four goals to break the record of 249 goals. Rooney’s goal drought is worrying, having last scored for United on August 24, however, some will argue that a lack of a starting place and a change in his role have immensely affected his confidence.
Do you think Rooney will end his career with United?
