President Muhammadu Buhari will meet Pan Niger Delta Forum (PNDF), comprise monarchs, leaders, groups and stakeholders of the Niger Delta on Monday, October 31, Vanguard reports.
The meeting was earlier scheduled for Saturday, October 29 but has now been postponed according to the news platform.
According to Vanguard, the leader of PNDF, Chief Edwin Clark and Secretary of the Central Working Committee of PNDF, Ledum Mitee confirmed the development.
Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu said the meeting had to be rescheduled because the previous date was on a Saturday.
“It was actually a suggestion that the meeting could hold about that date, but having found out that 29 is a Saturday, you know it is not possible to drag the President for such a meeting on that day, the better day is Monday, October 31, so that is date,” he said.
