Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has called on police authorities to find the killers of his security aide, Idowu Oyewole, who was killed by suspected armed robbers during the week.
The governor said this in his condolence message to the family of the deceased, made available by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, in Akure, on Friday.
He also urged the authorities to ensure that peace is maintained in the state, adding that there should be no compromise in ensuring an atmosphere of peace.
Mimiko praised Oyewole for his dedication to work and urged the police to ensure that his killers were apprehended and brought to book.
Lamenting the impact of Oyewole’s death on his wife and children, the governor said his family would miss their breadwinner.
Mimiko, while condoling with the family, prayed that God would dry their tears and heal their hearts quickly.
Oyewole, who was the Unit Mobile Commander (Mopol 17), attached to the Ondo State Government House, was killed by suspected armed robbers on Wednesday in Akure.
