The Red Devils were unable to break their opponents' resistance at Old Trafford on Saturday despite having a record number of shots in the game
It proved an afternoon of immense frustration for Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side as they were held to a goalless draw at Old Trafford by Burnley.
Their exasperation at failing to find a breakthrough will only be exacerbated by the fact they had an incredible total of 37 shots during the contest.
That figure is their highest-ever in a Premier League match since Opta records began back in 2003-04.
The draw - in which Ander Herrera was sent off - means that United have lost further ground at the top of the Premier League table with Mourinho’s men already eight points behind leaders Manchester City and Arsenal.
