The impending sale of Twitter (TWTR) has gone up a notch with the entrance of an unexpected bidder.
According to sources, the entertainment giant, Walt Disney (DIS) is preparing to make an offer which sent DIS stock off 1 percent on Monday.
Disney now joins the line of rumoured suitors for the big but losing social media platform.
Talk of Twitter sale has been going off and on for months with Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL.O), Salesforce.com and Microsoft rumoured to be in the lineup of potential buyers.
It’s not clear if the sale of Twitter will happen and when but Walt Disney has the financial wherewithal to bid on Twitter, and knows it needs to move deeper into the Internet space.
