A Kenyan woman recently stunned a court in Nyeri, Kenya, on Friday, September 16 when she gave chilling details about how she strangled her four-month-old daughter to death.
Identified as Priscah Wangechi Gichoi, the woman narrated how she killed her daughter, Joy Wangari Wangechi, in April 10, 2014, in Githuri Village in Nyeri county, saying she had psychological problems that made her do the heinous act.
According to her, she was under medication and did not understand what she was doing at the moment.
She said even when she was arrested and arraigned in court, she was not aware of what was going on.
“I stayed in the police cells for two weeks, police would bring me to court but I could not understand what was going on,” she said as quoted by Nation.
Priscah said the last thing she remembers was being with her daughter at home at the time the incident happened.
She strangled the toddler to death after she had beaten as injuries in its head indicated.
The case resumes November 14.
