Vanguard newspaper has taken another calculated jab at President Muhammadu Buhari over the current advocacy for the sale of national assets which has rented the Nigerian media and political space.
It would be recalled that Nigeria’s business mogul and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, recently suggested that it makes more economic sense to sell off the country’s remaining asset like the multi-billion dollar Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited, and the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Joint Ventures, and use the proceeds to help the economy out of recession.
Senate President Bukola Saraki and his economic team also embraced the suggestion which has been described as a threat to the Nigerian economy capable of plunging it into the manipulative and selfish hands of capitalists.
Vanguard, after yesterday's hilarious meme of President Buhari hawking nation's assets has released another satirical photo showing the President presenting it to the advocates of the national assets sale.
