The dust has settled and the Nigerian police has unfrozen the #SaveMayowa campaign accounts.
Recall that allegations surfaced some weeks ago as regards the genuineness pf the fundraising program set up to help Mayowa Ahmed who is battling with Ovarian Cancer get the much needed medical attention.
The controversy over the alleged fraudulent conduct as regards the fundraising led to the freezing of the collection account by the Police.
The Lagos State Police Command has however lifted the ban on the account after it ascertained that there was no fraud involved.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, the Police is set to remove the embargo placed on the accounts containing the sum of N81million and 100,000 dollars.
The Commissioner further noted that the allegation stemmed from a misunderstanding over the modalities for dispensing and controlling the money between the Ahmed family, the Nollywood actress, Toyin Aihmaku and Life Stake Foundation.
