The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has distance itself from billionaire Jimoh Ibrahim, saying he is not a member of their party.
Mr Jimoh yesterday picked the nomination form to contest the November 26, 2016 governorship election in the state from the factional National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff in Abuja saying he will pay all outstanding salaries of workers within his first 100 days in office.
However, the Ondo PDP has dismissed Jimoh as a member of the PDP stating he is a member of the Accord Party.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP in the state, Mr. Ayo Fadaka said; ‘I can confirm to you that Jimoh Ibrahim is not a member of our party, the PDP, he has since been rid of his membership and we all know that he is a bonafide member of the Accord Party. So, for him not to be making a somersault to pick a form of PDP is a shameless thing anybody can do in this situation’.
