A Finnish weightlifter collapsed off the stage after passing out as he celebrated a lift. Milko Olavi Tokola suffered a severe drop is blood pressure as he walked off the stage after hoisting 175kg above his head.
After initially raising his fists in the air in celebration, he rose back to his feet to walk out of the arena.
But he suddenly collapsed and tumbled down the staircase, where his team of coaches immediately rushed back to his aid.
Tokola, making his Olympic debut at the Rio Games, regained consciousness immediately and joked that it was a common occurrence as and when questioned about the fall afterwards.
