Iyke Igbokwe calls for Pinnick’s resignation says Nigeria’s football is doomed

Former vice-chairman of the NFF’s disciplinary committee, Iyke Igbokwe, has called on Amaju Pinnick to resign as president of the federation.

Igbokwe also labelled Pinnick as “the worst disaster” to have happened to Nigeria’s football.
“Pinnick is the worst disaster to have inflicted Nigerian football,” He told AfricanFootball.com
Nigeria will not be at the Africa Cup of Nations next year – the second successive edition the Super Eagles will be missing.

The country’s U-20 and U-17 also failed to qualify for continental competitions next year.
“If Pinnick still has any honour left in him, he should resign as NFF president by the next 24 hours. And if he failed to do so, the executive committee should impeach him and where they too fail to do so, Nigerians should rise up and chase them away,” Igbokwe continued.
“All our teams will not be in action in Africa next year – the Super Eagles, the Flying Eagles and now the Golden Eaglets.
“And all these are because of the evil that has beset Nigerian football.
“Just one person’s selfish and personal ambitions have mortgaged the fortunes of Nigerian football right from when he got to power through the back door.
“Why will God want you to succeed after the dark forces that threw you up through highly illegal and dubious ways?”
Igbokwe added: “When the Flying Eagles crashed out, the first vice-president (Seyi Akinwunmi) apologized on behalf of the board.
“Should we continue to accept apologies from these people?
“No. We should chase them out.”
Igbokwe also warned of impending doom, if Pinnick is still in charge of Nigeria’s football, when the 2018 World Cup qualifiers begin in October this year.
“It will be another disaster in the World Cup qualifiers because as long as Pinnick is overseeing Nigerian football, we will not come out of this very difficult group,” he added.
“The entire Nigerian football is doomed!”
