Breaking: Newly promoted Hull City beats last Season Champions Leicester City 2-1

Hull 2-1 Leicester [Hernandez, Snodgrass - Mahrez] bad start to their title defence from Leicester

Hull City return to the big time this lunchtime with the visit of Champions Leicester.

After one of the most disrupted pre-seasons in Premier League history, the Tigers kick-off without a permanent manager and just 13 senior players fit for action.

Such is the crisis of numbers, City are set to play Jake Livermore, arguably their best player, out of position in the centre of defence.

Caretaker boss Mike Phelan knows the Tigers cannot survive without new additions. He spoke candidly on the matter in his press conference on Friday and says the club\'s season is likely to be shaped by the outcome of takeover talks.

Supporters were holding peaceful protests before the game before getting behind the team to act as a much-needed twelfth man.

It may well be the case that the football offers a welcome distraction from off-field matters today, but whatever happens, follow it all here.
