Wayne Rooney wants to become a manage after he retires from the game

Manchester United and England skipper Wayne Rooney wants to become a manager once he hangs up his boots.

The striker, who turns 31 in October, revealed he is preparing for life after football and sees himself in the dugout when he retires.

"I would like to be manager when I finishing playing," he told his 25 million fans during a live facebook Q&A.
"Football is what I've done my whole life. I'm currently in the process of taking my coaching badges so hopefully when I finish playing I'll have that complete."
"Hopefully one day a club will give me an opportunity to manage and I can be successful doing it."
He even offered team-mate Ashley Young - who was asking the questions during the live steam - a job on his backroom staff.
"If you get going with your badges you can come in and be one of my coaches," he laughed. "I might try that. Hear that? He just offered me a job," joked Young.
Rooney has been playing top-flight football for 14 years, winning an impressive 13 trophies in the process.
