Following the takeover of Skye Bank Plc by Apex bank, Central Bank Of Nigeria, CBN, the financial institution has issued an official press statement through its official Twitter page.
The statement reads:
The CBN has approved the appointment of Alhaji M.K Ahmad as the new Chairman of the Board of Skye Bank Plc.
The CBN has approved the appointment of Mr. Tokunbo Abiru as the new Group Managing Director and CEO of the bank.
This follows changes on the Board of the Bank leading to the voluntary resignation of Dr. Tunde Ayeni and other Non-Executive Directors.
As well as the resignation of Mr Timothy Oguntayo as GMD/CEO. Messrs. Bayo Sanni, Idris Yakubu, Markie Idowu and Abimbola Izu will continue in office as Executive Directors of the Bank.
We wish to assure our customers and stakeholders of the safety of their funds especially given the support of the CBN to the recent change.
