Nigeria has regained its rightful place - APC Leader

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, John Odijie-Oyegun said that Nigeria has regained its rightful place among other nations in the world.

In a statement obtained by NAIJ.com, he praised the present administration in their efforts to rejuvinate the country’s economy.

He said that the social safety nets contained in the 2016 National budget will help boost the current dwindling economy in the country.
“The President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is already nursing Nigeria’s battered economy back to life.
“Nigeria has regained its rightful place amongst the comity of progressive nations. The implementation of palliative measures and social safety nets contained in the 2016 National Budget will ease the current economic hardships in the country,” he said.
However, President Muhammadu Buhari unveiled a social investment package designed to impact on the lives of over eight million Nigerians.

This was disclosed by Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to the president, during an interactive session with reporters in Abuja.

Akande said that this will not only pacify the current pains arising from the new fuel pricing regime, but will give ongoing social safety nets for over eight million Nigerians this year alone.

The presidential aide added that this is beside the jobs that would be created by the infrastructural projects that would be restored and the new ones that would soon be taking off.

This is not the first time Oyegun has campaigned for the “buhari led administration and their efforts.

Recently, he urged Nigerians to keep their differences aside and work with the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for effective results.

He said Buhari worked hard to repair Nigeria’s previously tarnished image in the international community.

He also said the President restored the territorial integrity of our country by ensuring the containment of the erstwhile rampaging Boko Haram insurgency and has waged an unrelenting and vigorous war against corruption as he promised in his electioneering campaign.
